ordered year round. We assure our customers that our animals
are healthy quality stock born and carefully raised humanely
within a natural habitat with a natural diet of organically grown
grasses on our farm.
You should find Wallace Homestead Farm naturally raised beef to
be the best-tasting, most consistent grass-fed beef available
anywhere. Our naturally raised grass fed Herefords produce beef
with a leaner fat content than grain fed animals yet have excellent
marbling and have a delicious heartier flavor.
You may purchase a whole animal, one half animal or one quarter
animal and have your order custom processed at our dedicated
USDA Certified Beef processing plant.

Naturally raised, grass fed beef is leaner, higher in beta carotene, higher in
vitamins A & E, higher in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which is an
anti-carcinogenic, and higher in omega 3 fatty acids. That is why it is healthier for

Naturally raised, grass fed cattle have a naturally alkaline rumen. This minimizes
the possibility of E-coli O157:H7 contamination.
Our cattle thrive on a purely organic vegetarian diet that contains no animal

in feedlots as practiced on large corporate farms and our cattle are
given no steroids, antibiotics and no hormone implants.
No pesticides, herbicides, or other unnatural or toxic substances
are ever applied onto our pastures and crop fields.
Our pastures and crop fields are organically fertilized with natural
100% home grown cow and chicken manure. Commercial
fertilizers of any kind are never used. It is all natural!
Our hay crops, which are our cattle's winter food source, are
grown organically and harvested without any drying agents or
preservative chemicals applied.

WHAT IS NATURALLY RAISED BEEF?
Naturally raised beef is commonly defined as beef from an animal raised from
weaning with no antibiotics, no growth hormones, no synthetic pesticides,
herbicides, and on a natural diet consisting of natural grasses. Pasture and hay
forage is the natural diet for cattle. The bottom line is that cattle need to be fed
their NATURAL diet, not necessarily just an "organic" diet, to produce healthy
meat.
ORGANIC OR NATURAL?
Organic beef does not necessarily mean meat that is naturally raised. Organic
certification refers only to what an animal has or has not consumed. Organic
certification alone does not ensure that animals are raised in a healthy, sustainable
and natural way, nor does it mean that animal welfare is necessarily a high
priority. Many large food conglomerates have organic production divisions where
the animals are raised in confinement and fed unnatural high-grain diets, although
the feed is organically produced. Just because a package is labeled as organic
beef does not ensure that you are necessarily buying the healthiest food for you
and your family.
